I don;t really know what they told me because I was so high at the hospital

I know that my leg feels absolutely dead right now. I mean, I tell it to move and it just doesn't budge. I have to physically pick it up with my hands to move it. And it hurts like hell to do that.
Probably wouldn't hurt to double check with the doc's office tomorrow as to what you should/shouldn't do.

I love when they give you "doctor's orders" when you are as high as a kite. I had a procedure done once and they tell you you need someone to drive you home, don't sign any important papers for 24 hours, yada, yada. Then they hand you your discharge papers to sign.

What does Ziggy do while you are off duty? Does someone else come and exercise him, or is he on "vacation" too?

I have a very elaborate brace that has locks on it to restrict movement. It can be set to allow a certain degree of movement or none at all.

Ziggy stays home as long as I do. When I am totally out of commision like now and the first week I got hurt, Steph takes him in and out and plays with him to get excersize. Durring the rest of my recovery when I can walk around, him and I do some training in my back yard. Mostly obedience and agility drills. I also make some toys up with the odor of narcotics on them so he keeps those smells on his mind.

When we are ready to go back to work, we will hit the academy for about two weeks for a refresher prior to full duty.

I think this winter you should dismantle the entire car and ship it in small boxes to me.
