Need some help, removing my wheels and somehow I managed to strip one of my locking lug nuts i.e. honda. How the heck can I get it off?

The funny thing about these wheel locks, everybody seems to think they are actually an effective anti-theft tool... Chances are you can find a garage close to you who will remove that wheel lock lug, just be sure you take a regular one to replace it with for your trip home.

I know several garages that have this tapered cone shaped tool. You put it over the lug key, whack it on with a hammer, and then loosen the key like you would any other nut. Garages have to have this tool because there are too many people in this world who A- did not know their car even had lug keys and B- can't remember where their lug key is.

Good luck!

I'll try to figure something out. My car is currently off the road, so I'm trying to do this at home.

Using an air chisel in the key area at an angle usually does the trick, but that isn't an option for everyone.

From experience.

Don't use a chisel. It does not work. The wheel nuts are tapered and you can never get all the nut out. I spent a day trying to get a stripped nut off my jeep. I mangled it to such a state that I ended up having to cut the wheel off the hub with a torch. Wrecked the tire, wheel and hub. I now have a policy of replacing wheels nuts every 5 years, regardless of condition. I usually never use the lock, but then I usually never have anything on the car worth stealing.
