My Kodak easy share had re-chargeble batteries which worked great - the first set that is. I've tried two other OEM sets since the first ones quit holding a charge and neither works to hold a charge more a day.

I even turn off the view preview and just use the little window. Still sucks down the batteries.

I looked at ebay and the SD1000 seems to be about $165 plus shipping, lowest I can find. Most of my picture taking is past for this year so I will probably hold off until after Christmas at this point.

Oh how it pains me to us the C word this early!
