Friction mount? Are you moving to California where it's illegal to mount things on your window?

Text to speech if overrated in my mind. Unless you are blind just read the streetname off the GPS! Bluetooth? Why do you need to connect to your GPS?

Maybe for some, but I love the 200 without all the unnecessary stuff.

Text to speech is GREAT! You hear the names of the street, the names of the routes on the highway. Better than just "turn left in X" number of feet.

Why do I care which street I'm turning on to. I look at the screen to see the name, that's not good enough??

i can connect my phone to the gps so i can use it as yellow pages and just have the gps dial.

i.e. find a restuarant - hit call on the gps to find out if they are still open without having to dial it on the phone. HAWTNESS!!

nah... that is my answer to this

DON'T LEAVE THIS PRODUCT OR ANY OF THE ACCESORIES IN YOUR CAR!!! it's getting to the point that if you have a ring left over from the suction cup on your window they'll break in and look thru your car.

Yea I don't do any of that stuff. That's why its useless for me. I can see some other people wanting it though.

as anyone heard that Mass has passed a law saying you can't talk on the phone while driving. I wasn't sure that it was final.
Bluetooth is pretty cool. esp when someone calls and it shows it up on the screen and you hear the voice coming out of the GPS.
The other cool thing is the more expensive ones have FM modulater built into it so when talking on the phone it sounds like the caller is in the car with you. when the GPS is giving directions sounds like the guy/girl is sitting next you.
As for the text to speech lots of customers love it or don't need it. dak trukkie is right, look at the screen. I have the magellan 1200 which is compared to the nuvi 200 and it's easy to understand looking at the screen. to each is own.
