My understanding is that people with that sort of problem are handicapped by it, and need to be transported in handicap-access vans with lift-gates, wide access, and lots of grab-bars/railings. They sometimes can't even leave their homes because of the handicap as they are not strong enough to carry the weight (imagine walking around with an extra 300-500 pounds). It's all very sad that people would let the situation get that far. I believe there are medical alternatives.

Kind Regards, Chris
