If you always order meduim rare like I do then your digestive system gets used to all the "added goodness" that lives in there.
hopefully you got most of it up the first try and arent fighting to bad keep things down

Corey,

I don't think any immune system is strong enough for ecoli:

'Meat typically becomes contaminated with E. coli O157:H7 during the slaughtering process, when the contents of the animal's intestine and feces are allowed to come into contact with the carcass. Unless the carcass is sanitized somehow, the E. coli bacteria are eventually mixed into the meat, as it is ground into hamburger. Because the bacteria is mixed into the meat during the grinding process, and not just on the surface, thorough cooking (greater than 160 degrees) is required to prevent E. coli O157:H7 poisoning when the ground beef is eaten by the consumer.

Contaminated meat looks and smells normal. Although the number of organisms required to cause an infection are not known, it is suspected to be very small. "

That's why I never eat a burger unless it is welllllll done.

Bloody rare... well actually medium rare.

Don't take kids or elderly to Jack 'n the Box

I've been dry aging a standing rib roast for almost 3 weeks now. Can't wait to eat it on Sunday!

It is still better then eating burger with uncooked intestinal contents and feces in it......Well, even if they were cooked, they are still disgusting.

Thanks for that image Thomas. I think I'll pass on the burgers for now, and stick to chicken or fish.
