if you autocross on snows you will learn limits of the car based on the horrendus squealing you will get the entire course, and when you have real tires on the street you will think you can push it more because you don't hear it. and although you can, you don't get the audible signal till way later when its harder to correct. so in addition to not having as much fun (you will be way slow), you will learn bad habits instead of the appropriate limits an autocross can teach you.

Hello,

I am planning to be there unless it snows. I will most likely use an old set of tires (I am just interested in learning dynamics as a beginning step). Some other NSXers and Lotus Elise folks mentioned that they may come as well.

See you guys there. The only thing I hate is it is so damn early and 2hours away.

Oh, I have to put my summer tires back on my S.

Can't wait!

I did the online registration thing. So all I need to do is to pay up and have my car inspected.

I plan to arrive there by 8:00am.

According to google map, from my house to there, it is about 2 hours ride there. I plan to drive there alone. I don't know any other person from MA (except you)is going.

If you wanna caravan to CT with me, PM me.

I will leave from Quincy, no later than 6am. Yikes!

They recommend 40psi! When the tires are cold or when they are hot?

It seems very high.

Any idea?

right after you finish a run and park- DO NOT use your emergency brakes

Are you talking about the tires I sold you? If you are 40psi is the maximum pressure for the tire not the recommended pressure for use. Set them to 31 to 32 psi and you should be all set .

Looks like I will have to put together a tech day . For what specs mean ,how different spring rates and tire pressures affect you car ,pros and cons of different mods .
