Default Finally got an ap2

Hey guys and gals, new to the forum and figured being that this is my first post I'd introduce myself. My names Jake I live in Ma and ever since I drove my buddie TK's (euroflavor) 05 s2k back in 09-10 I knew I had to have one. It wasn't until a few months ago that I was actually in a place to get one. I sold my 05 srt4 to a friend thinking it'd be easy to go and find an s2k, wrong. I knew I wanted an ap2 but most if not all were out of my price range so I searched high and low for anything I could find really. I drove the better parts of NH MA RI and CT looking for one. Every one I came across was either too expensive, too many miles, been hit and half ass repaired or like most a combination of all 3. Finally after almost 2 months of searching I randomly drove past an 05 silverstone sitting on the front row of a dealership. After 3 trips up there, 2 of which I left because I couldn't deal with being harassed by the sales manager, I ended up getting it. Like it said its an 05 silverstone with black interior, OEM lip, bone stock 74k. I know its been hit and had a fender replaced (I'm a body man) but the work was done right and after talking the talk and storming out of the dealership so many times I ended up getting almost 3k taken off their rediculous sticker price. Turns out they wanted to sell me a car a lot more then they were leading on. After owning it for just under 2 months I couldn't be happier with it. The only thing I've done to it so far was put in some megan track series coils. My only other plans are a safety 21 cage and some wheels but I don't see either happening in the near future.

Thanks, I'm from North attleboro ma. I've already out a few thousand miles on it I drove it like crazy the first month but now I'm calming down to my normal 5 mile a day commute. End of September i'll be taking it down to Maryland for h2oi.

Comparisons between the SRT-4 and the S2000? I know they're completely different cars, but I assume the SRT-4's are probably pretty peppy with the turbo.

I loved the srt4 but when i had a chance to get out of it and get into an s2000 i had to. They couldn't be more different the srt4 is a torque monster and makes really good power with very little work. I had a big front mount with hard pipes, greddy bov, better coil and wires and with a 19psi tune i was making right up around 275whp and close to 300 torque. The issue was its fwd and even though it was extremely tame around town when you put your foot into it the front tires would blow right off. It was odd to go from a car that made nothing but torque to one that makes none, and its still weird sometimes. The seats are a lot more comfortable in the srt too, but in the end i like the s2000 more. WAY better gas mileage, rwd, vert, and i don't have to drive any of my friends around. also the honda can take any beating you throw at it, the srt for the most part is solid but the tranny syncros might as well be made out of glass and it threw the cel all the time for stupid reasons.

Careful. While our cars can take a beating, I've read about our rear diffs are weak. I was told by other forum members not to launch like a mad man.
