I always had in my mind that Facebook is a global filing system that keeps all our data and can be reached by a third party organization to check our records. But am using it as well as a simple user, and share some information with friends. Others, just promote their business, whilst several companies run a profile check and they also look at your photos. Lets say, you apply for a job to a company. They will check your records, and better hope you don't have any wild pictures of last night's bachelor party.
