Default Exhaust install issue to be aware of.....

#1 Nothing wrong with the exhaust, more of an install issue to be aware of....

The lube I used to get the rubber exhaust hangers off the metal hangers was too slipery!!!!!

The lube allowed the hangers to let the exhaust sway from side to side and it did a little damage to my bumper cover.
Its not really bad at all.
So when you install your exhaust, wash off the exhaust hangers or something. They should have enough bite to them so that they dont allow the exhaust to move any.

I used a silicone product that I purchased for my Audi to lube the hangers. It sure makes the hangers come off easy but it allows them to slide around after you have installed the exhaust.

Just a heads up.

BTW....MUGEN ROCKS!!!!

I've used WD40 for the 4-5 exhausts I have helped to install and they've been fine. WD40 evaporates.

So I broke out the Griots Garage Rubber cleaner last night....

Griots Rubber Cleaner...

not for 's btw....you should all know to clean those you just turn them inside out and shake the f*ck out of them....
back to my story...

I sprayed down the hangers and let it sit for a few mins. Moved the exhaust with my hand alittle to get the stuff in the holes and what not. Rinsed it off and let it dry. Did the trick!

I never figured there was such a thing as too much lube.....
