Singling the lines refers to when one of the lines tying the ship to the pier is released, preparing to go out to sea. They are normally doubled, so when the first one is to be released, the captain call for them to "single the lines". '
This might be one of those things where you had to be there

Hi folks. Please take a look at the first post of the drives and meets thread and let me know what you think. I might want to flip the New England Community events to the top and the General Automotive events to the bottom.

I like the single thread for all meets with links to the individual threads.
George's '07 link has a calendar which I also like. It gives you a good idea of what is happening and when. The when part is very important to help us plan out what events we can attend.
