Keep an eye on craigslist. Especially this time of year, you can probably score a great snow blower for short money.

With the size of your driveway, you should definatly get a two stage jobber like the one I have. It will throw snow pretty damned far!

for those that bike I got a new one.

coming down the hill I have a stop sign coming into a Y intersection.
I always slow but I avoid making the hard stop if I can since I have clip-ins.

But I see a car coming from the other side so I slow way down early to give them plenty of time to clear the intersection.
They have the right of way anyways.
She sees me and slows way down and stops ( remember she has the right of way) and then waits for me to stop and then go and pulls in behind me.

Now she follows me as I get up to speed going uphill following me at 15 ft but is afraid to pass me.
Road is fairly wide and there is no traffic in the other lane.

At 15 feet the only thing she has done is guarantee that she'll hit me if I go down for any reason.

After following through another intersection and making a turn she finallllly got up the gumption to make the pass.

So how could snow shoveling be a problem? I enjoy firing up my blower!
