Default driver's side window autodown is failing

hey guys,
have any of you had this problem? when putting the top down, the driver's side goes down about an inch then stops. or when you press the autodown, the same thing happens. if you hold the window switch down...it goes down. its just the autodown that is failing. i have only 9k miles on the car. i haven't driven the car in the rain in... i can't remember when...long time.
i did a search on this and it seems that numerous owners have had the same problem...BUT...when getting it "repaired," it convienently comes back after a little while.
so if any of you guys have had this problem and if so, gotten it repaired and had it last.
it just really really frustrates me that i pay all this money on the car and its only a year old and the window is giving me problems.

The problem will eventually return unless you have one of the updated parts...

that's what i'm afraid of Francis. i've read a bunch of posts saying things like...they replaced this and that and now the problem is back.
but i'll keep my fingers crossed until this temporary fix fails and then maybe i'll schedule an appt with the service dept.

Jeff - one other permanent fix is emc2's auto up down mod.. I've had these for eight months now and i have never had a problem with my windows - they are $25.00 each. I love them

That is true. I just reset again and it's good for a few more months. Unless they come up with a perm fix under warranty, I'm just gonna live with it.
