Drag racing interest?
Anyone interested here in drag racing? I realize most of you could care less but myself and chillout18 have done it before and will be doing it again.
Too far for the eastern MA guys but we go to Lebanon Valley in Lebanon NY just over the MA/NY border off I90. The racing is every Wednesday during the summer from 6PM until about 10PM.
Let me know who would be interested and I'll keep you in the loop with our plans next time we are going to attend.

i haven't tried drag racing mine, but i thought i read stories of people saying "take the s2000 to the tracks, it's not a drag car!!"
sounds like a good idea, i may be in for this....$20...to run all night? no popo to pull you over

That is such a myth. When launched properly you are not putting much wear on the diff at all.
A typical night gets anywhere from 4 to 6 runs depending on how late you want to stay. I have done dozens of 6k+ launches in this car with no ill effects to date. Keeping good fresh fluid in the diff probably helps too.
