The "do not call list" does not cover non-profits
Like politicians aren't making money and a profit?

They are stealing - that's different.

So we should start a petition to allow blocking of their calls then.

"this is a private line, callers engaged in political solicitation will be charged a use fee of $100 per minute, if you agree to these terms press 1 to continue"

Am I missing something? Why can't I block all political phone calls to my house? Why can they call me when telemarketers can't?

Yesterday I walked in and I had a message from Scott Brown on my telephone. I'm sick of them all; the ads and the people running for office.

Once again, the barrage of political ads for an election are enough to make me
I railed about this during the Scott Brown election too. No, the politicians wrote in an exception in the don't call list that allows political calls. Damn irritating, isn't it.

Yes it is. I was ready to throw the TV into a wall the other night.

Speaking of that, I almost never watch live TV anymore. DVR / Tivo is the way to go, Lainey, if you don't have that already. If it doesn't have at least an x4 fast-forward, it ain't for me.

Yeah, time for a DVR...need to call cable people, but I hate talking to cable people.....

I've watched a few of the 10:00 PM shows (too late for me to stay up ) that I like on my PC. Limited commercials, works out OK.

I'm not into HD TV and the like......

Lainey, you can probably get (on the cheap) a non-HD DVR. I don't even know if you have to get it from the cable company... probably.

Good luck.
