bill please let me know your outcome as i will also get an alignment when i buy new rears (fac spec alignment)
Jim when i place the order for the rears what should i ask for as i want to stay with the OEM rears.. ie how will direct tire know that i want honda S02s..

You will need to specify the OEM S2000 tires. Look for the rating on it..............89W comes to mind.(something like that) Not 100% though.
I personally can't wait till I order up my new rubber. S-02 N4's. They are OEM on the Boxster S and will give me the grip I have been missing since I put my new rims on.(hopefully) I can let the back end slide like all the time(all be it controllable) it just doesn't have the old grip of the S-02's(I have S-03's on there now).

Sorry, haven't had a chance to get my S2k aligned at DirectTire yet. If you do go there make sure to tell them you want precise alignment not just within range and ask for an experienced Tech. You can even ask for the tech of your choice, if you know who's good. I had this Problem with my prelude, they aligned it to just within range and I had to ask them to do it again. Good thing is, they work with you till you're satisfied.
I used Curry Honda (in Chicopee) a month ago and they did a PERFECT job. They have a brand new Hunter machine in their body shop (not the service dept). Their techs and manager are really nice too.
