Default Crispy Frickin Chicken

A billboard campaign for "Crispy Frickin' Chicken" is ruffling the feathers of a Pennsylvania couple who believe the word "frickin'" is a "euphemism for fornication."

...Michael and Shari Sucec of Harrisburg, Pa., have asked supervisors in Derry Township to join their fight against the placard promoting a Sheetz Made To Order sandwich.
"It really is profanity," Michael Sucec said, according to the Lebanon Daily News.

Carrying a worn-looking Bible in his hand, the self-described street preacher told the supervisors he had contacted Lamar Advertising, the outdoor-advertising firm that sells the billboard space, as well as the Derry Township zoning office, to see if there was a legal way to have the sign removed.

Seems pretty funny to me... the only reason the word "frickin" even exists is because it's "bad" to say the original bad word. (Apparently this board even automatically edits the word "f * c k i n g" even when I put the asterisk in. I guess it must be really bad.) So keep on fighting against those bad words, and people will come up with other ones. Come to think of it, "Sheetz" sounds a little too close to some other 4-letter word.

Kinda sad when someone thinks that's the highest priority issue for them to deal with. Put down the bible and go help someone who needs it.

well i for one, am delighted to have suddenly made the revelation that frickin is a "euphemism for fornication."

lord knows what anyone would have thought it meant prior to that clarification.

but does anyone ( excluding bruce cuz well he's bruce, ok well maybe steve) really relate fried chicken with sexual intercourse, really?
i've got a pretty good imagination and it really doesn't go anywhere with this one.
i dunno maybe i'm just not trying..

I've already been accused of making too many off-color references so I am going to leave this one alone.

Lots to do over nothing...

Jones says the campaign is aimed at young adults, and the company didn't intend to offend anyone. Altoona-based Sheetz recently removed one billboard in Hazle Township, near Hazleton, after local officials fielded complaints. Jones says the remaning billboards will come down next Wednesday, when the campaign is scheduled to end.
