That 128 is sure an awful road, far too many accidents IMO.
If I had to drive on 128 regularly I'd buy myself a mid '70's Caddy in real rusty shape, and just velcro on the license plate to make it easy to yank off after I abandoned it following a really bad accident (although it's pretty hard to hurt one of those cars badly). You should see the hurt one of those old Caddys puts on another vehicle in an accident -- I had one years ago and I got creamed in the back by a snoozing MB 300D following me when I had to brake hard. The MB ended up getting totalled and flatbedded away while all that happened to my Caddy was that his antifreeze got on my trunk...
Nothing is made like that today (5000+ pounds of steel with 10,000+ pounds towing capacity), and an old rusty Caddy is disposable.

PS: Good thing you weren't driving an SUV, the high center of gravity usually means a rollover when you get forced off the highway at speed.

Very glad you are OK, it sounds like it was a pretty wild ride. I can just imagine what was going through your mind as you were doing donuts on 128 with the traffic all around you. It was good that you were able to get the car back under control. I try to avoid 128 these days, it sure is getting crazzier by the day on that road. I actually think it was safer before they paved the thing, at least people drove with a little more common sense.
