Default Cops in Honda's?

Driving to work today on 91S I'm cruising at 70mph in the right lane when a cruiser blows by me doing 80+mph, right on his tail is a new black Civic Si. He swerves behind me to make the exit I'm passing. I look over and it's being driven by a state tropper (in uniform) he looks over at me and gives me a big grin. Hmm. Are CT troopers now driving civics??

Well we know the drive Impalas!

I saw one on my way to work the other day in an SUV. Maybe a Ford Explorer. No markings at all, all the lights were inside the vehicle, and he had someone pulled over.

Back when I was in college, I drove through CT on 84 quite a bit. I saw cops in all kinds of cars pulling people over. I hated driving through CT with some insanely low speed limits at some points and cops driving everything from Mustangs, to one van that looked more like the ScoobyDoo Mystery Machine than a cop vehicle.

I will NEVER be surprised what I see cops using as an unmarked car in CT.

My friend who grew up in CT used to tell me all the time that they have a Ferrari police car. I think he said they seized it from a drug dealer or something. I think they use it for publicity or something. Probably says D.A.R.E on the side.

Also, I was in FL last winter and I was riding with my friend and he was driving like he was driving Ms. Daisy. So, I said "why don't you speed it up?" He was petrified of speeding because apparently in FL you never know what cars are unmarked. He was telling me they use almost any make/model of car.

Many years ago when I did a lot of commuting on the Turnpike in western Mass, I remember seeing just about every Ford/Mercury product they made as statey undercover. I even saw a Linconln towncar as undercover! Never did see an Escort though....

Beware on Rt.2. Last year the car that sticks out was a red Chevrolet Camaro. Last night, I was in my civic, and a black Mustang (04), tinted windows, kept on pushing for a race. So I blasted 3rd and 4th, about 110mph, and the mustang kept on going towards the exit ramp. As I look over, it was a female state trooper I can't stop thinking about it, she must of had some important call to not bag me.

The state of CT has two black Roush Mustangs. My friends wife has to over see them each week. She controls the garage their stored in.
