I dont condone such behavior, i'm just curious because i'm very angry right now at how inconsiderate people can be.

I work in Wilton Connecticut. This place is full of rich bastards that dont give a shit about anything or anyone but themselves.

I went to get lunch today with my office mate. You may know him from other stories as simply "the russian". We stopped to get ice cream. I found a sweet parking spot with no one on either side.

As we sit there eating ice cream I saw a gold volvo pull up and park next to mine. Thinking nothing of it I continue to eat my cheesecake ice cream. When I come out I see a white mark on my car. "aww man, dive bombed!" I said to Dmitri thinking a bird had shat on my door. Upon furthur inspection I see that it is in fact wax. It's the wax build up left on the edge of the door on the gold volvo next to me!!! A 6 inch vertical scrape. I quickly inspect the door of the volvo and I see not only wax build up but THE ****ING PAINT FROM MY DOOR!!!!

Now I ask, what would you do in this situation?

i would wait for the person to come out and ask them what happened i would NEVER stoop to the leval of keying / dinging someone's car

I agree with the never stoop to that level. I love my car and cars in general so much I could never resort to that. I just couldnt understand how someone could open their door into mine, and then think nothing of it. A BLACK CAR with a WHITE STRIPE on it because of the door ding. Makes me cringe thinking about it!

The ice cream was killer! It was called "cheese cake break"

I had the same thing happen to me!
The only thing was it was a 7 year old kid. I watched his mother scream at him through my window after he did it and when i went outside to confront them they said they didnt do it ... I told her i watched her bug out on her son ( as he was standing there crying ) through my house window and she stomped off... i guess you just have to suck it up

I would have waited for them to come out, but I didnt see WHO got out of that gold volvo. There were a bunch of stores around (marshalls, radio shack, boston market) so I didnt know what kind of a wait I was in for.

I'd like to say I'd wait for them to come out but if I was in a hurry, like I usually am, I might just have fuming and live with it

I would wait and comfront them . If they deney it i would kick in their door and respond with a oh well and leave .

I had something similar happen in my CR-V. Kid flew open the door with such force, it bounced off my car and slammed back in his face (I was in the car at the time). Went out to confront them and mom grabbed the kids arm and walked off ignoring me. Didn't even scold him or anything, just walked off like nothing happened.....
