Default Collings Foundation -WEATHER TOO IFFY CANCELED!

Rick and I went to this place last year. Collings Foundation They have some interesting events. This should be of interest to some.

Race of the Century
August 22nd and 23rd , 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Collings Foundation, Stow MA
$15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 yrs. and younger.
PT-17 Stearman flights available.

UPDATE: The plan is to meet at Jerry's/Boltonblue's by 10:15, ROLLING at 10:30. If you want to arrive at Jerry's earlier, he'll have coffee for you. We'll arrive at the Collings Foundation around 11:00. That will allow time to "stake out your spot" look at the cars/planes on display, yack, have lunch and watch the "races" which begin at 1:00 PM. Don't forget chairs or a blanket and sunscreen. You can bring in a lunch and beverages, but have to take your trash when you leave. Food and beverage also available at the event.

If weather is iffy, check in here for meet status.

PM Jerry or me for Jerry's address.

If you prefer to meet up at the Collings Foundation, PM me for my cell and we can hook up when you get there.

Race Schedule

Info about the event:

Glad to see some interest.

Didn't realize the vehicle was supercharged...

I'm leaning towards the August event, though that is sometime away. We've already attended the event they have in October. Also, I'd have to schedule the meet for the Sunday, due to Saturday obligations.

If anyone is nearby and has a chance to check out the place in May, it's worth a visit. They only open to the public a few times a year.
