It 's sucks that they are closing but at least you have a little advance warning.
it sure beats showing up and finding locks on the doors.
many moons ago tech hifi employees found out they were closed when there was a sheriff guarding the door with a writ of seizure when the manager showed up.

What i want to know is that i just bought a tv from there and bought an extra 5 year warranty. so how would that work? I should just take the tv back and buy one from best buy.

The warranty is most probably issued from an outside insurer not cc directly. Check your paperwork for who the actual insurer is.
probably will just go to the tv manufacturer .

I suspect that your ability to get a refund is now zero.
The only chance you might have is to process a refund through your credit card company.
but when a company is in chapter 11, good luck.
