Christmas music
So, I think I drank a can of "grinch be gone" soda or something. I cleaned up my office a bit today, dusted off a radio and turned it on, selecting Christmas music. I've even listened to Christmas music in the car now and again.
I buy presents, wrap presents and get into the season, but not in a big way. Scott tells me Santa is real, so maybe I just need to get into the holiday season with some Christmas music.
So does anyone listen to Christmas music............. by choice?

Just curious, is there any way NOT to listen to it this time of year?

Why isn't there a F%CK NO- I HATE THAT CRAP choice?
I can't stand people who play it at work for others to hear. Some of us truely hate it. What kills me is they get mad when I ask to change it. "Where is your xmas spirit?" they ask. Well maybe some of us dont follow the religious aspect of another's belief system or maybe some of us just don't like the fact people mask their greed with the "giving" season - or use this holiday as an excuse to ask for a handout.
I can get by the Jingle bell stuff and the dominick the donkey stuff but when they start in with the "the lord our saviour" stuff and "the king is here" blah blah blah, I just break. We all have our choices of religion and other freedoms, and I have no problems with others beliefs, but
1. WHY impart those beliefs on others when they have their own?
2. WHY is it the only holiday that has its own genre of music?
3. WHY do we listen to the same songs for 4 weeks straight (or more lately)? There isn't a long list of Hanukkah songs we started listening to on Nov 1 and stopped on the 8th night of Dec. Where are all the Kwanzaa songs? The Festivus songs? I may be able to tolerate it better if it happened only the week before.
In a country that seems so left wing lately - catering to the requests and the gripes of small groups as not to offend even one person; a place where people are quick to complain or sue when offended at work - WHY is this all so acceptable?

No,no ,no! That being said you can't really avoid it. Just seems like yet another ploy in the playbook of the 4th quarter earnings boys to get a bigger bonus. Buy buy buy!

I have been trying to play Christmas music around the house over Pandora (which has a great Christmas station BTW) but the boys and my wife keep complaining and making fun of me.
