car wash weather...
hey guys,
what temperature would you say is good to wash a car outside in? i am talking about with a wash mit and bucket of water, etc.. i was thinking 60 degrees or more, the water would like freeze ur hand below that after a while no?

As long as it's above freezing you're ok. Make sure the hose won't freeze from contact with the ground.
Polishing/Waxing is ok too and can be done in the direct sun if the paint surface doesn't get hot, which it shouldn't.

I'll amend the above slightly.
I've spoken w/ the manufacturers of the waxes that most of us use, and the only one that says it's OK to wax at this temperature is Klasse. The rest (P21s, Zaino, Zymol) all suggest 60 degrees or warmer. Klasse can be applied down to freezing temperatures.
But as far as washing goes, the worst part is drying the car because that is when your hands get in contact with the cold water. Have an extra bucket of warm water nearby to warm your hands in from time-to-time and you should be OK.
