Car Jack
So my jack is fubared... I think. I own a craftsman one (red model) and the thing is not working properly. I takes me a ton of pumps to raise my car. The bottom is leaking oil so I went out and bought some jack oil, but I can't seem to find a place to add oil. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

If this is the jack then remove lug nut holder on top. When you lift that piece off you should see a screw plug on top of the cylinder. Remove it and add oil. You better keep plenty of oil handy as reading the reviews from the sears site this jack leaks oil!

wise guy
you know the screw that you turn to raise / lower the jack - that's where the oil goes there and always use the jacking points when jacking up the car.. oh and when lowering the car - make sure there is nothing under it that will crush it

Give the guy a break. He's got a new fleece to wear to all important occasions. Let him live a little.

I think the red fleece will show up at tech days. That's where it belongs.
