Plus it is expensive as hell.Finding a hotel/motel around Boston on that budget is hard. Even the only-OK out of town inns start at over $120/night. Unless you have some hook-up, that's going to be tough. Your best bet may be priceline.com and hope for the best.

i think what there's to do depends on what you like to do. There's alot of historic stuff to see but I'm guessing that's not what you had in mind..
There's tons of awesome restaurants in Boston, clubs, shopping in Newburry St. Hmmm checking out the waterfront in Plymouth, South Shore Plaza in Braintree, night life in Providence, RI....
And then ofcourse theres some pretty awesome roads in the rural towns outside of Boston
