Best way to remove pine sap?
Found a glob of sap when I was washing. What's the best way to remove it? Claybar took quite a bit away but it won't come completely off. Ron suggested carb cleaner. To him that's like Windex is to the father in the Greek wedding movie. Kills nasty pests too, especially those with a exoskeleton....dries 'em right up. Its very effective on Wasps. But, I'm not sure wha that will do to the paint.
Don't make me go buy something. Will goo gone do it without hurting the paint? Anybody tried that? Guess I might on an inside door section.
I love the way the claybar removes all the tar and bugs, etc. It has become a staple for washing the car instead of an occasional use. The only problem I have is to remember to keep it away from the edges of the clear bra otherwise I'm out there with the toothpiks and dental tools carefully scraping it away from the edge.

While I am sure there will be someone here who can answer this, you may want to try posting in the wash and wax forum. you will probably get an answer a lot quicker and might get a few different methods to consider trying.

They are a helpful bunch over there. I did a quick search in that forum and someone already went through this. here is the thread:

Thanks much.
I visited them....Goo Gone worked very well. In the process I found a chip in the paint. I carefully toothpicked touch up paint. There is a teeny blob. Ron says not to worry about it. It bothers me.
Do I now have to visit the painting forum to find out how to smooth it out?
