Sam's in Norwood is also good - you can bring competitor pricing in to him and he'll meet or beat the pricing. Also, you should be able to work a good discount considering all the appliances you'll be needing.

When I bought my recent house, Sarah and I leveraged a lot of the home depot/lowes/sears rebates plus card opening benefits to get our appliances.
We saved probably 6 or 700 bux that way. Key is to pay it off before they sock you with the back interest. Then cut the card up...
But with the recent credit changes, there are no "no payment" offers but the zero interest for Xmonths are still around. Also when you change your address through the post office you get 10% coupons to Lowes and you can usually get HD to give you a 10% off if you tell them you moved or open a card.

i went local and most places price match but they offer the free delivery and stuff and better service imo..... plus i got a discount for buying all like u need too and i tossed in a washer dryer, and got 0% interest for a year.

Stay far far FAR away from Sears.....the worst purchasing experience of anything in my life. They screwed up just about every aspect of the purchase of our kitchen appliances.

this is great info here! I was really thinking of staying local becuase i like the idea of a more personal experiece, but i did see that sears had that big sale this weekend so was going to give them a look over. I will check out some of the recommend places above as well. thanks for the input.

dibi, you need to figure out what you want to do in the kitchen too.
Specifically on the cooking surface, are you going to stay generic or go with a higher performance cooktop, viking, five star, wolf, et cetera.
That may limit your options.
Knowing that you love to cook, spending that little extra when you put it in, may save a lot of regrets later.
