As for my favorites, I generally identify them as "Movies I can always watch and enjoy, no matter how many times I've seen it:"
- Ocean's Eleven (the remade one - it's just fun to watch)
- Back to the Future (probably because it's my childhood roots)
- Monty Python & the Holy Grail (I also love Life of Brian)
and if you haven't figured out that I'm a geek:
- The Empire Strikes Back
And the oddball movie that just strikes me the right way;
-Down Periscope

I would love to play it some time. I might look for an emulator to do just that
But I still do have a working NES, and a joystick for it, as well. My brother never could get the in-flight refueling, and rarely could manage to land on the aircraft carrier. He always had me do it.

By far - Back to the Future. "Marty!!! Do you have any concept of time??!!"
I cant flip channels by that movie. I have to watch it.
Honorable Mention - Clerks
Lots of good ones mentioned. Black Hawk Down. One of the most accurate army movies IMO. I still get chills every time I see the blackhawk spin into the ground.
