Jury duty pay isn't a benefit. It's the law. I get plenty of discounts too....AAA card does the trick.

I forgot to add in my 7 holidays, and usually a decent Xmas bonus.

Lainey, the law here in Maine is an employer must grant you the time off for jury duty. But they DO NOT have to compensate you for it.

I do not know if Mass has a different law regarding this.

Maybe a bit of bragging....though, I do find it interesting to see what larger companies give for benefits....in my next life, I'd never work for small businesses.

I need a state or federal job.....those are the best, and are about the only ones that have an actual pension plan at retirement. I'd bet many cities, towns, etc, will start to review those 80% pensions at retirements, they just can't afford it anymore. I would have loved to get in on that gig. Pension plans are becoming a thing of the past. Most of us only have what we personally save on our own or in a 401 or IRA.

Perhaps...We are required to pay three days, but only three. If you get stuck on a longer trial, they "encourage" employers to pay.
