Not outside but I wouldn't mind wiring up an extension to GO GREEN!

clever idea pinky but I'd have to leave the lights on in the garage for it to work.

Oh to the contrary. By making a wire extension I would run the wire to the window of the garage and put it IN or outside the window on the South Facing side of the house. It will get direct sun ALL DAY LONG!

Just have to get the wiring long enough to reach and hope that there is little degradation of strength. I will use some high grade 12-14 aug speaker wire or maybe some home extension cord wiring to do this. Just solder & tape the connections.

Read the description, Jim. That unit has to be kept inside the vehicle as it is not weatherproof. If you find one that goes outdoors and can keep five or six batteries charged, please let me know. I would set one up myself.
