With the colder weather the car will be getting used less and less. For some reason with all the audio equipment in the car I have a slow electrical drain. Given 2-3 weeks of no use it will have an almost dead battery.

So I am going to try and keep it fresh by getting a tender and hopefully hook it up to the car for the winter.

Recommendations? Or are they all pretty much the same.

They have them at Walmart for cheap.

Harbor freight has really cheap ones too. I got one for $5 that I use to keep my mower battery fresh. Been working great for almost two years now.

Yes, it goes to a trickle charge when full. It just looks like a small power supply with battery clamps on the other side. Got it when they went on sale once. I think they are like $10-15 normally.

For whatever reason, Rick's never bothered with this. The S battery stays hooked up all through the winter.

The new lawnmower has the auto start/battery. They suggest you bring the battery inside for the winter. It's on the "To do" list....maybe a tender should be as well.

$15 sounds like what I paid for mine. Also, West Marine has them for an ok price.
