Francis,
This is the (canned) response I received....
Registration has closed. We have over 140 cars coming, we let anyone in who registers before the deadline, we do not cap the events. We do not do any on site reg, it all must be done in advance. Please go to http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/events/2001/a.../autocross.html to sign up, registration will re-open on Monday for the next 2 events.

Derrick,
Looks like I will not need to borrow your helmet for this weekend. Thanks anyways.

Guys,
Since we cant participate, and there is a good chance of showers/thundershowers on Saturday, does anyone plan on still attending as a (wet, and possibly fried) spectator? If so, we can meet 1.5 hours later than we planned at all locations since we dont need to be there for registration or tech inspections.

Hmmm... I didn't even know rain was in the forecast.

Saturday:
Partly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms from noon on. High 75 to 80.

Well, if we don't go to Fort Devens, and hopefully the rain holds off... what do you think about a drive? We could do what we did at the Natick Mini-Meet we had a couple of weeks ago. Find local backroads to drive on. Or we could try to find some backroads around Fort Devens.

Just a suggestion.

We used to live in Harvard, MA.

If you go to Devens (in Ayer), there are some fine driving roads and scenery in Harvard and down into Bolton.

A.M. drive sounds fine to me... I will start a new post to see if anyone else would like to join us. And to see where we all could meet up.
