Anyone familiar with Wheel spacers......?
Anyone out there familiar with wheel spacers? have any pics they can post etc... I am thinking of this mod for my car and wondering if anyone had any suggestions, prior experience or thoughts? Saw a pic posted of a car with them and looked pretty sweat,
Thanks
here's H&R's website: www.hrsprings.com
go to 'products', then to 'trak-wheel spacers', there's pix & info on them. Select applications to view s2k size options. I've got the 25mm ones.

I had a set of the H&R's 8mm and 15mm on my TT for a while. I think I had the DR series.
Personally I wouldn't use them again. You are just adding another part that can cause problems, vibrations, alignment issues and add stress to a critical part of the car. Spacers can also cause funky tire wear.
Knowing what I know now, and having had spacers I would say only use them if you HAVE to. Not just to run wider wheels or for the "look", but because you need to run wider wheels to allow you to use wider tires to hook up because you have added more horsepower. And if you do HAVE to run them for a reason like I just mentioned, use the smallest you need. In other words don't use a 25mm spacer when an 8mm will do.
Since my TT used lug bolts, I just replaced them with longer ones. With the S2000 having studs, I am guessing you have to replace them, or you have to replace the whole unit. Which is it? If it is the whole unit, then this wouldn't be as bad.
