Default Anybody Purchasing a Honda PCX OEM oil Filter?

I am looking into purchasing a Honda Oil Filter. Yes the NEW "PCX" oil filter. But I am kind of discouraged due to Shipping charges.

For Example:
Hardtopguy.com Honda Oil Filter - $5.69 but $11.64 after shipping UPS Ground.
HandA-Accessories.com Honda Oil Filter - $6.30 but $11.96 after shipping UPS Ground.

I bought one last year at the dealer for $8.95 +tax for $9.49 out the door.

Where do you guys buy OEM filters? Anybody here work for honda? Wasn't there some lurker here not too long ago that stated he worked for a dealer? I got a buddy that works in the car business and usually gets 20-40% off parts but it would be to our advantage if we could find a honda tech/sales person that could get it for us cost. Say a case and divide up the expense at the next tech meet or something?

I found this on a search but toronto is too far, IMO.

Why wouldn't you buy several filters to spread the shipping charges over more units?

Well that is an interesting way to look at it. If I bought 12 filters I would end up paying $6.42 a filter which isn't too bad but I wouldn't be using anywhere close to 12 filters anytime soon. I was thinking along the lines of having a local source to go to for these things. For example on tech day have filters and crush washers available from a local dealer for $5. Didn't we have some dealer wanting to sponsor us not long ago?

I tried to do this a while back and no one responded. Go to the S2Ki market place. The price is very low. Like George, I felt it made no sense to pay shipping on a couple of filters. I was just going to go to Boch and by one or two. If we want to get together and order a cse, I'm in. I figure I'll take two to four.

Carol, if you are around, what can you do for us on a case of PCX filters? These are the new ones with more holes in the face of the filter (8 versus 6). We don't want the old stlye filters.
