Default Anybody here work as an RN or Nurse?

I am considering a career change.

I don't have that cut throat business mentality. I think that this might be an interesting field to get into. And from what I hear make some serious $$$ too.

Long as I can still go topless for years to come.(maybe in a new car sometime)

Thanks.

Hey Jim, I hear they make good money. Only have so weird/long hours. My mom's side of the family are in to that and my mother in-law used to be a nurse then administrator in a hospital. I think you only need a 2 year degree for RN.

I am not an RN but my business employs them.
You can get by with two years but if you want you BSN it will take 3 to 4. The money can be very good, one of ours works 36 hours a week, 3 x 12 shifts and will make right around 75k another works 24 hours a week and will make around 50k.

There are tons of different fields you can work in as a RN, Hospital( Med/surg, Tele, Ortho, ICU...), Long Term Care (nursing homes, Private Duty), Clinics, Medical Review (office like work), and many more.

We have some what of a shortage in this country so the jobs are plentiful.

I already have my BS degree so all I need is my RN. BSN wouldn't be a real option.

If you already have your BS it should only take you about two years to get become an RN, and any advantages that a BSN would have your exsiting degree should suffice (even if it is non nursing related).
