Default Anybody have Sleep Apnea?

Anybody get corrective surgery for sleep apnea? I'm gonna get the UPPP procedure in a few weeks.

My Dad had it. He tried one of those machines, but didn't care for it. I don't know of anyone who had the surgery for it.

Hope it works out for you. I know people who have it can really be tired all the time, since you never get a good rest.

Vintage?

When I went for my sleep study, half the people there were my age! One in his mid-late 20's!

The mask is called a C-PAP. The posibility of wearing a pressurized mask for the next 50+ years is not appealing.

Losing 20lbs and sleeping on my side helped, too (get a bike jersey with a back zipper pocket and put a tennis ball in it).

i'm hoping to avoid surgery cuz I don't think it works...and wearing a breathing device for the rest of my life doesn't sound cool, either.
