The Passport is a re-badged Izusu Rodeo. Be very careful, GM V-6 engines that have a history of headgasket problems on the early versions.

Do not think of buying without a qualified mechanic checking it out.

Get a 96-00 CRV if you want 4WD and an auto. Not a serious 4x4 but a good winter beater.

The best truck on the market,,, Acura MDX.. We have had a MDX for over a year and have enjoyed every drive. Smooth drive, dependable and safe. The third row seating is great . The price is a bit on the higher side, but you can bet when it comes time for re-sale, the MDX will be a winner.

These later ones have Isuzu engines rahter than GM but it did not improve the breed. I would also lean toward a CRV given the choice.

Yup, avoid the early year Passport, aka. Isuzu Rodeo (?)

CRV or Rav4, my child.

stay away from the Passport... It's an Isuzu - without the reliability of the typical Honda... Want a '02 CRV 5 speed?
