Just yesterday I noticed that when hit the ignition, a very even whiny noise starts and will not go away until I turn off the ignition. It is almost the same EXACT sound that you get when you turn the key to on, and you hear it for a few seconds, and it goes away. Then I hit the ignition and the noise comes back and stays. First of all....what is that initial sound...and could it be that something is causing that to go on and stay on when I hit the ignition? Thanks

the fuel pump is the noise you hear when you have the key in the on position.

the Vortech's come with a walborough pump, but not sure about the Comptech's.
