I would check out Horizon Drive(street). Stephanie (street) in Henderson. Lots of nice stuff over there. Green Valley Ranch (The area not the hotel) is also nice. Summerlin is great, but it's FAR from the rest of Vegas.

It'd probably be best to come into Vegas and look around though.

Summerlin, Mountains Edge, Green Valley, Silverado Ranch, Anthem, Seven Hills. All of those you can't go wrong in. Well, some of them still have their "not so great" areas, but theyre all pretty good areas.

I'd say that Summerlin is somewhere to actually stay away from..high price, high HoA, far from most of Vegas..not worth it, unless you will be working in that area..in which case I would get a place in Spring Valley instead..which is right by Summerlin. Want a nice place that is not overpriced, I'd prefer Anthem, or Southern Highlands.

Just let us know the cross-streets you end up looking at and we'll let you know. You'll be able to tell by looking at places if you should stay away.

Who are you moving with? Buying, renting?

Summerlin is my favorite area, but it's too far from my work. If it wasn't I'd live there. My mom lives in Summerlin.

I would be living alone. Renting for now until I have anough cash for a condo. Maybe a year or 2. As far as a job is concerned, I will either have to look when I get there or talk to a job placement company. Probably over the winter. I'd wanna save a few extra grand incase I dont find anything right away. Something that will hold me over for at least 6 months. I will look into Anthem and spring valley. Right now my searches only consists of craigslist, but my friends are mailing me the paper once a week just to see whats out there.
