dude, how far away from here do you want to go?

that is one of the most bad ass trips youll ever take. go on the boat tour, call them and they can clue you in on all the details. i used to live 2 hours from where the boat takes off. most fun ive ever had. and i will be going again soon, for my 4th time. we stayed in klamath and just kicked it. rode the boat tour, went to the falls, and the basin. amazing scenery, and whole different way of life.
also you could go here, this is my hometown. and i miss it dearly. burney CA. this is one of its many beautiful sights to see.
let me know if those make you smile. if not, i have many other ideas, as i will soon be traveling alot, and visiting these places again. lates dave

i used to live in traverse city michigan, which is one of the least known and most beautiful areas in the country. thousands of acres of national parks and hundreds of miles of suagr sand coastline. lots of great villages and golf courses. it's kind of the anti vegas, but in a very nice way. the local population has a high density of nationally ranked amateur athletes as the sea kayaking, cycling and cross country ski trails are exceptional.
also, probably the finest collections of golf courses you'll ever find.
pm me if you would like more details.
jss
ps - it's also pretty easy to fly into.

I was watching the Travel Channel and they talked about the bottom of the Grand Canyon is a great place for vacation. There is obviously a river and a lot of caves to explore. The bottom of the canyon stays fairly cool and not to exceed 90 degrees. You may want to look into ways of getting down there (guide/camping tours, donkey rides...).

Ha-why-EE is off the hook. Kona on the big island rocks. Maui is cool too. I like the big island though. Supposedly they have every climate in the world except for extreme desert and extreme artic. So if there are N number of climates in the world, Hawaii has (N-2) number of climates. Ohau should be fun. I have never been there but that is where Honululu
In Califorinia, Santa Cruz is cool! It tends to be overcast until about 2pm this time of year though. The marine layer is hecka thick coming the awesome Monterey bay.
Catalina is kinda cool tool. Its a little island off the coast of Los Angeles. You can take a 1hr boat ride from Long Beach.
oh yeah. Santa Barbara might be your best choice since you can drive there. Find a place close to State Street. It really fun done there. Lots of great restaurants and bars. You can walk all the way to the beach on state st...
Whistler Canada is one of my favorite places in the world. Its about 60miles north of Vacouver up in the mountains. I have only been there in the winter for skiiing;. I bet its awesome right now.
