Thursday Night Street Wars at the LVMS!
#23
they prep the track but no where near what they do for the nhra.
and most of the people who "work" at the Speedway for Midnight Gayhem are volunteers. I'm sure it's the same for this Thursday thing.
huge money marketing ploy. keep it at $10.
and, for some reason, people in general, don't see entry fees as a modification. when i spend $150 for a day at the track or $300 for a weekend... i see it as a modification... not like tires or brakes, but as in driving experience. I'm modding the driver. that $300 is going MUCH further than $300 towards a body kit or paintjob.
Even in a drag racing sense. the $55 i spent entering the Sport Compact drag event last year, it was a modification to the driver. I gained useful experience in launching and mad-shifting-skills.
too bad no one else see's it that way.
