Default Sushi Restaurants in Vegas

Can someone recommend a great sushi restaurant in Vegas, preferably near the Strip, and not too commercialized.

Thanks, Roger.

Todai at the Aladdin is very good, but it may be a little fancier than you are looking for.

Coral Reef at Mandalay Bay is also good. It's out in the open near the west side of the casino floor.

There is also a good place at the Stardust the name of which eludes me... Sushi King maybe? They had excellent quality sushi and maintained the "classic" Sushi Bar feel considering that they were in the middle of a casino.

There are a ton of good places off of the strip as well, but nothing particularly close.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Where are the good places you mentioned that are off the Strip?

Sushimon is good too. There is one located at silverado ranch and maryland parkway. There is also one on Sahara? somewhere. Osakas is another good one. There is one right off the 15 on west sahara and another near anthem on eastern.

Osaka is definitely good. Sushimon is good but they are small and can get crowded quickly around dinner time. I'm a big fan of Malibu Chan's on west Sahara. I Love Sushi in henderson is also excellent.

Just depends on which direction you want to go.

I'm actually looking for a more "family" style sushi restaurants with an intimate surrounding, much like the ones you see in Japan - not too commercialized.

In that case, the one that I've been most impressed with lately is Saporo on Stephanie near the Galleria Mall. It's small and family owned, the sushi chef's get to know you by name and the quality is outstanding.

Nice, that's right around the block from my house. Where is that place exactly? Maybe I'll go check it out this weekend.
