Special Directions for Nov 14th autocross
Apparently Nellis AFB air show is going to be happening on the same weekend as our event (November 13-14) and that LVMS will be allowing the base to use LVMS
as a parking area. This will affect us in the following ways:
* Gate 2 will have to remain closed all day. Gate 2 is the gate that we
normally use for egress.
* The police will be directing traffic from about 6 AM at all entrances and
gates.
* We will have our people use either Gate 4 which is on Las Vegas Blvd or
the freeway entrance at Speedway Blvd.
* Gate 4 is the gate near the speedway tunnel entrance and the security
shack.
* If our members encounter traffic control officers we are to inform them
that we are SCCA members running at the Bullring.
" From the freeway the route would be down Speedway Blvd to Checkered Flag Lane then take a right just after the security shack."
* From Las Vegas Blvd gate 4 the route would be directly through gate 4 and
an immediate left.

It sure was a pain to figure out where the auto-x was with all the air show traffic, however I found it eventually. Although I was expecting a few more observers (Ive only been to the sunset station one's) I found a pretty good spot. I was sitting in the green 5th gen at the north end of the track.
Definatly gonna have to give it a shot once I can find an S.
