most people recommend +45-48 and up.... The wider rim u wanna to, the stronger the offset
For instance, my fronts are 18x8 +56 rear 18x9.5 +62.....mine do not rub
But I did a lot of searching here before I bought anything

17x8 +48 and 17x9 +48 is the limit of "safe" fitment.
So many factors come in to play with fitment
Tire size, camber, sidewalls, even tire pressure (ask enthralled).
I have 17x8 +45 and 17x9 +45 and they rub and hit stuff.

If you buy the 17's just try to get close to the OEM AP2 fitment, which is .....
Front:
17" x 7.0", +55 offset, 215/45-17 tire
Rear:
17" x 8.5", +65 offset, 245/40-17 tire
I'm almost flush and have no rubbing issues at all.
btw I've swapped back to my OEM wheels and need to lower this bish a bit more!!

it's about time you swap back... you been talking about swaping your oem wheels back on for the longest time!
