Possible to live decently in Vegas on $50K/yr?
I'm thinking of applying for a job in Vegas. The pay is $50K which is a bit less than I'm looking for but I still may consider it because I like the job description and the Vegas metro area (I don't mean the casinos either).
Is it possible to live decently on $50K/yr in the Vegas area? When I say decently, I don't mean living in a 5 BR house on 2 acres, driving a new Mercedes or anything like that. But I don't mean having to live in a shit hole, dodge bullets, worrying about the S being broken into or eating ramen noodles every meal.
Is it possible to pay the bills, have some fun on the town, put some money into the 401K and savings, buy some accessories for the S, maybe buy a new car (WRX) that kind of thing?

Okay. Though I don't know if I could live in a condo. Basically like an apartment that you buy. If I was going to buy something that's not a single family home, I think I'd buy a townhome. But as they say to each his own. Good to know you can get a condo there for under $50K.

Yes, Just don't live anywhere east of the us95 unless it's off of horizon.
Also, there are some nice places up north (ie 215 north and alliante area), but it's a hellish drive to get there from anywhere else. The north is also hit and miss with crime. Mostly meth labs and larcenies.
And I live alright on $30/yr, I am sure $50k is more than enough
