[QUOTE=OverBooster,Sep 28 2004, 10:06 PM] All They spent their own money and really the only reward they got for a job well done was three days off from work.

You guys should find a different profession if you want to party more. Shouldn't your reward be the gratification of putting the bad guys in the slammer. Why do you need to drink your brain to the point of no memory?

Our tax dollars should go to educating officers in the PDs. There are alot of uneducated officers out there. They get their badge right out of highschool for passing some jintsy test. Do you notice how alot of officers just get fat and eat doughnuts too? Shouldn't there be some strict physical training involved. I have come across hella shady officers when I was in HS in Los Angeles. I'm not going to begin to disclose the shadiness in officers I have experienced.

OverBooster you seem like a good cop though. There are alot of bad ones out there too. I guess that is the way with every profession though. There is always the good, the bad and the ugly. I kinda weary of officers because i experienced so extraunordinary behavoir from officers when we used to party in Malibu back in my relic days.

p.s. Please dont put an APB out on me.
I am not cop. Just very well connected. I am sure there are some stupid cops and some fat ones. Be careful about broad assumptions about cops and what it takes to be one. The FBI and the NYPD are actually quite difficult to get into and require significant strength, agility, and mental tests. When I was applying for Deputy Coroner, Orange County Sheriffs department I had to pass a series of tests, take classes and physical tests.

I get a little aggressive when people verbally bash the cops, but when their life is at stake then the cops are the greatest people in the world. People should think twice the next time when insulting a cop or making fun, who knows that cop might save your life or someone you love. The guys I were with were celebrating their own achievements. They were not being rewarded by anyone but themselves. I do not know how my thread shifted to that topic, but it is completely false.

When my life is at stake, the greatest person in the world is me and the gun in my hand. I don't rely on anyone to let me sleep better at night.

ryan, i can only say this. i hope that your respect for others on the road has increased since last time we were on the road. yeah im straight forward sorry, but i dont want to be in the company of those who drive unsafely. i drive like im on the racetrack at all times, so dont think im a hippocrate, but i have control of my car, its others i worry about, and the same sentiment has been expressed to me from others. i guess im the only one who has guts to say something. please, wait to get on the throttle till we have open road. cutting people off, and disreguard to others only makes us all look bad. and AP1 spins out like its on ice without warning. be careful bro. laters. hope my 2 cents doesnt cause any loss of friends. dave
