Default just wanted to vent!!!!

Wed. night my dad suffered a massive heart attack. i was on my way to my parents house and got a called from my dad telling me to hurry, that he thinks he's having a heart attack. So, i just punched it, i was doing like 80mph on charleston!! The ambulance and firetruck arrived about 3 min after i did. My dad was laying face down on the bed, telling my mom and i that he loved us, basically saying his goodbyes! The ambulance rushed him to the hospital and took him into surgery. The doctor said, my dad was like 20 min away from dying.
Anyways, my mom is thai and she doesn't speak very good english, and my sister's live out of state, one in michigan, and one in north carolina, so i've been making phone calls, talking to the doctors, picking my mom up and taking her to the hospital, then bringing her home. I'm just soooo exhausted!!!!!
Anyways, my dad is now off of the IV's and is walking around, hopefully he'll be home in a few days.
Well, i just wanted to vent for a little bit.

thanks J.P. Probably the most scary moment of my life.
I think he's going to be ok, just needs to change his diet a little bit.

Glad to hear it all turned out OK. Both you and your mom should learn CPR. It might make all the difference in the world.

Sorry to hear what happened. It's good that he is doing okay now. Did he have a cardiac catheterization?

i plan on taking a cpr class, my wife know's it already. i'm not sure what cardiac catherization is....they took him in to the cath lab, and took a tube or something, and went in from his groin area all the way to the heart and shot some type of dye to see what was blocked, then they unblocked the artery and used sometime of spacer (i forgot what the doc called it). I'm just glad they didn't have to open him up.
Thanks guys, for all your support. This is truly one great community that tops any other.

yeah, that's exactly what they did, put a stent in there. are you a doctor?? They just moved him out of ICU today, and he's walking around and is doing great. Doctor might release him tomorrow, but we'll see.
