Here's a quick question: How exactly do junkyard work? Do you just march in there, take what you want, and not have to pay a dime?

Ahhhhh, no. The "pick-your-parts" places typically look at what you've pulled and charge you accordingly. Some places already have common parts stripped and ready to rock, and some will actually walk WITH you to the junk car and pull the parts for you.....all for a price.
