Can somebody help me answer some questions about removing the radio vent? I am purchasing a VAFC in the radio door, but am trading the entire radio console in exchange for his. My question is, how do you do it for one. And 2, will the radio still play and not slide around while I dont have a radio console in it? Thanks all!

Find where the top of the vent meets the dashboard and wedge either your fingers or a flat head screwdriver between them. Then simply pull from the top of the vent kind of out and down. It might be easier to keep the radio door open while you do it. Don't be afraid to pull hard, it's just clipped in. The radio itself will be fine driving around w/out the door. The door is only cosmetic and the radio is bolted in w/ 4 screws. You'll see those 4 screws after you get the door off.

Thanks Chris! Just wanted to make sure before I buy the VAFC. Looks like ill do it tonight. I was gonna install the 04 radio door, but instead I am just getting the VAFC door.
